Kindergarten without roof and walls
For the 22/23 school year, we are introducing our Wald Kindergarten program, where children will have the freedom to explore, play, build, create, imagine, and use all five senses to explore their outdoor environment and engage with one another.

Our Mission
We strive for inclusive outdoor programs that create broad experiential learning environments, promoting development of positive attitudes to all. Big and small. With the concept of collective responsibility for all living beings, Prairie Phoenix Nature Learning is passionate about family, community and bringing everyone back to the love of nature. The deep learning of our true selves arises from spending time on the land. Repeated visits and experiences in the outdoors enhance our sense of stewardship, reciprocity and compassion.

We support experiential learning in the seven areas of the common curriculum:
fine/gross motor skills
cognitive development
social/math/science
creative art music/movement
spiritual development

As inspired educators, we feel these opportunities are occurring in spontaneous ways where a child’s playful curiosity takes the lead. We prioritize a sincere and engaged response to these intrinsic motivations while scaffolding support, information and guidance. The benefits of land based learning are priceless and ongoing as we follow the natural, seasonal rhythms of the Earth.
Growing and nurturing respect for all living things and Mother Earth, a deeper connection with our own true natures, increased confidence in ourselves, trust in others and opportunities for the growth of Heart are among our goals for all.

There is no separation between us and the land, we are one.
